Staff Reporter / Tuesday, November 30, 2021 / Categories: News Springhill to Reopen Emergency Services Nova Scotia Health has offered Springhill an early Christmas present. The health Authority announced the All Saints Hospital will return to full emergency service on January 19th. The four nurses who were taken from Springhill to support emergency needs in Amherst will return to their home hospital. The nurses were shifted in September to secure nursing coverage at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre. The move led to an outpouring from the community which feared it was just one more step in closing the hospital. Tory Rushton, the area MLA, and Cumberland Mayor Murray Scott, along with local elected officials came together to demand answers and pressure the NSHA which made the initial move without informing the community. The emergency department in Springhill will be re-opened 12 hours per day on weekdays and eight hours each day on weekends. Add your comments below.
