WOW and more WOW, that’s what people were saying after a tiny concert at Hope Centre in Pugwash yesterday.

The Hope Centre in Pugwash was bouncing yesterday as Rocky Ripley opened the “Community Room” in a rousing launch with a two hour concert of memorable hits that kept toes tapping and many in the audience singing along.

Six Rivers Radio is recording a concert on Sunday with Rocky Ripley. It is the first in a series of concerts being produced by Barry Patriquin, Music Director for the Hope Centre.

The long awaited opening of Hope Centre in Pugwash is just around the corner.

The Amherst and Area Chamber of Commerce will host an information session for businesses that are finding it difficult to fill job openings with skilled workers. The solution may be with offshore workers. 

This event has been postponed until March or April.

Former Town Councillor, Barry Patriquin, was on the other side of the bench tonight as he pitched his new employment service to Oxford Council.

An Employment Engagement Specialist met with the Pugwash Village Commission last night. Barry Patriquin out lined the services from CANSA, Nova Scotia Works, an organization that helps employers find workers, and unemployed people find jobs.

Oxford Town Council meets this evening, and for three councillors it is time to say goodbye.
