’Tiny Gigs’ Coming to Pugwash Hope Centre
The Hope Centre in Pugwash plans a unique series of events to be called “Tiny Gigs”.
A “Gig” is an entertainment term meaning an event or a booking.
The term “Tiny Gig” is most fitting, as Hope Centre can only accommodate about thirty people. However, the Hope Centre operates Six Rivers Radio, so the gigs will also be broadcast live on radio.
It is a great opportunity for new or up-and-coming performers to hone their skills before a small, live audience, while at the same time reaching out to the world on the internet based radio station.
Performers interested in a Tiny Gig are urged to contact bill@hopecentre.ca or call 902-614-3000.
The tiny gig concept will also be used for certain news events, such as town hall meetings or community announcements.
The Hope Centre is home to the office and studios for Six Rivers News, Radio, and TV. The public facilities are still a few months away from opening, awaiting final paint, spruce-up, and furnishings.
