Bill Martin / Thursday, June 21, 2018 / Categories: News Toonie Draw Winner Defers to Next Week There was no winner in last night’s “Toonie Draw” at the Pugwash Fire Department. Number 835 was drawn but the registered owner of the number had not entered a toonie to be eligible for this week’s prize. The weekly jackpot was in excess of four hundred dollars and will be added to next week’s jackpot. While people register for a permanent number in the 50/50 community fundraiser, number holders must play their number each week to be eligible for the prize. You simply attach your number to a toonie and deposit that in a Toonie Draw box at one of the community outlets. Some number holders prefer to prepay their toonie, to ensure their numbers are valid for each week’s draw. Details for pre-payment are available at each of the Toonie Draw locations. You can prepay for as much as a year in advance to ensure your jackpot if your number is called.
