Staff Reporter / Friday, May 13, 2022 / Categories: News Transportation Funding Reaches Cumberland The Cumberland County Transportation Society will receive $146,360 as part of a $5 million provincial subsidy program. Nova Scotia Public Works will invest nearly $2 million in operating funds to 20 door-to-door community transportation services, like that provided in Cumberland County. Public Works Minister, Kim Masland, says, “Access to transportation is a necessity for people who are going to work, attending medical appointments, getting groceries, going to school, or participating in community activities.” Twenty-seven municipalities and community organizations will share this funding during this fiscal year.
