Van Vulpen Re-elected as Deputy Warden

Cumberland Municipal Council held its annual election for a deputy warden last night, as two experienced councillors faced off for the vote.

Joe van Vulpen was the incumbent having served in that position for the last year.

Ernie Gilbert was also nominated. He, too,  had previously served as deputy. 

Van Vulpen was returned to the deputy’s chair by a majority vote and took his seat (far right in the photo) next to Warden Al Gillis.
