Wentworth Speeder Over Double the Limit

A 23 year old New Brunswick man will be out nearly $2,500 for stunting on Highway 4 in Wentworth. 

Colchester RCMP stopped the man on Tuesday afternoon after radar readings indicated he was speeding at 182 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.

While the event might promote the Mazda CX30 reputation for “Zoom Zoom,” police remind us the fine for stunting in Nova Scotia — for a first offence — is $2,422.50 and results in an immediate license suspension for seven days.

Police are quick to point out that one of the biggest contributing factors of serious injury and fatal collisions is speed.
