Woman Jailed After Tata Robbery
Police in New Glasgow captured a woman suspected in an early morning robbery in Tatamagouche.
A woman stopped, just before 6:00 am, to fuel her truck at a service station on Main Street in Tatamagouche. When she entered the store, the woman told the female employee that she had a gun and needed money.
The employee gave the woman an amount of cash, and she fled in the truck, heading in the direction of New Glasgow.
The employee called 911 and a short time later the suspect was arrested by members of the New Glasgow Regional Police.
No one was hurt during the incident and no one else was in the store at the time.
Colchester District RCMP charged a 32-year-old woman from New Glasgow with:
• Robbery
• Wearing a Disguise with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence
• Theft Under $5000
• Breach of Recognizance
• Breach of Undertaking
The woman was jailed, waiting to appear in New Glasgow Provincial Court on May 29.
